DART First State and the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) have both launched new mobile web sites that bring information and resources to Delawareans who take advantage of the state’s public transportation and those who drive their own cars.

QR Code for the DART First State Mobile SiteThe DART First State mobile site includes tools for riders to plan a trip, view transit routes and schedules and get rider alerts. The site, developed by DART First State, is optimized for mobile devices and will work on all mobile web browsers.

QR Code for the DMV Mobile SiteThe DMV mobile site, equally adapted for mobile devices, helps Delaware drivers find DMV locations, check out wait times, view DMV webcams, and more. The site is specifically to serve DMV customers.

Both sites are examples of mobile-friendly applications that use modern web tools to create sites that work well on mobile devices but are not dependent on iPhone, Android, or specific operating systems. While not technically “apps,” mobile sites are becoming more and more sophisticated and useful. The difference between “app” and mobile site is starting to blur.
