The app includes:

  • Library locations, hours and offerings
  • A portal to the statewide library catalog
  • The ability to place holds or renew items
  • The latest reading lists
  • Access to the state libraries blog and tweets

The new Delaware Library Catalog app can be found on the Delaware apps page on the state portal and in the Apple and Android app stores.

Are You Ready for Snow?

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

Get news, notifications and alerts from Delaware state governmentWe know, it’s just under 50 degrees in Dover right now under sunny skies. But let’s be honest: we all were thinking “Aaghh! Snow!!” last night when there was snow falling, weren’t we? And we know the school kids went to bed last night with just a little hope for school closings or delays.

This seems like a good time to remind you about the new Delaware Notification Service (DNS) and other subscription-based information services. The DNS service offers school closings and delays (including early dismissals) and statewide school-related announcements among other notification services. And MyDelDOT offers traffic condition updates along with news releases.

A side note: If you were subscribed for updates under the old Delaware Information Subscription Service (DISS), you should have received conversion emails to lead you through activating your accounts on the new DNS. If not, or if you put them aside for future consideration, you can resubscribe using the new Delaware Notification Service.

The spotlight graphic is derived from the poster created for the blood drive by a partner at Sussex Habitat for Humanity.
